Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and planned by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office, Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Month 2026 will be held from 30 May to 30 June. With the theme 'Intangible Cultural Heritage is Everywhere in Hong Kong', the event will feature a range of programmes to deepen the understanding of intangible cultural heritage among the public and visitors, putting into practice the concept of 'using cultural heritage to shape tourism and using tourism to promote cultural heritage'.
In support of the event “Hong Kong ICH Month 2026”, the Heritage of Mei Ho House will organise a special programme titled “Intangible Cultural Heritage in Sham Shui Po” on 14 June. Through thematic talks, handicraft workshops, and community guided tours, the programme aims to strengthen community connections, enhance public awareness and understanding of ICH conservation, and showcase the unique value of intangible cultural heritage in contemporary society, with a view to passing on and safeguarding these precious traditional cultures together.
